Paarlberg BMW to once again host their much anticipated annual GCI Golf Day
Paarlberg BMW will be hosting their annual GCI Golf Day at Boschenmeer Golf Estate on 18 November 2015 and keenly look forward to hosting many of their customers at this prestigious event. Last year’s event was also held at Boschenmeer where 80 guests took part in a great fun day out. Mr Thys Odendaal came 1st in the Mens B Division winning him a place in the National Final that was hosted at Fancourt in George. Following further success there, Mr Odendaal went on to compete in the BMW GCI Golf tournament in Australia on 1 March 2015, where he achieved an excellent 15th place overall, with the South African team ending up in a superb 6th place overall. Delivery of the ten millionth BMW 3 Series Sedan at BMW Welt in Munich
The ten millionth BMW 3 Series Sedan is going to a driving school in Eichstätt. The BMW 320d in Imperial Blue rolled off the assembly line in September at the BMW Group's Munich plant, marking a milestone in the success story of the BMW 3 Series. With around 14 million vehicles sold in more than 130 countries, the BMW 3 Series is BMW Group's most successful range. The success story began in 1975 when the BMW 3 Series was premiered at the IAA Cars Show as the start of the line of sporty mid-range vehicles. BMW wins 2015 DTM Manufacturers’ Championship after dramatic finale in Hockenheim
It was exciting right down to the final lap, but BMW defended its lead in the Manufacturers’ Championship in the 18th and final race of the 2015 DTM (German Touring Cars) season to claim the title for the third time in four years. This was the seventh of a possible 12 titles for BMW since returning to the DTM in 2012. |

Don’t Follow Too Closely
Safe driving necessitates that you keep a safe distance between yourself and the car ahead. Drivers need enough time to react if that car makes a sudden turn or stop. It can be too difficult to estimate the recommended distances while driving and the exact distance would have to be adjusted for speed, so most experts recommend a "three-second rule." The three-second rule is simple. Find a stationary object on the side of the road. When the car ahead of you passes it, start counting seconds. At least three seconds should pass before your car passes the same object. Once you have some driving experience and have practiced keeping this minimum distance, you'll develop an instinct for it and know how close to follow without having to count. However, even experienced drivers should count off the three-second rule now and then to make sure. At night or in inclement weather, double the recommended time to six seconds. |
